Canyonleigh – The Southern Highlands’ Best Kept Secret

Situated on the western edge of the NSW Southern Highlands, Canyonleigh is a rural community spread across 130 square kilometers.

Known for its scenic views across vast valleys, Canyonleigh is bordered by serveral rivers including the Wollondilly and Wingecarribee, which intersect in the north. Despite this Canyonleigh has a reputation for being one of the driest areas in the shire, with cold frosty days in winter and hot sunny days in summer and spectacular thunder storms that build up as they cross the ranges.

A Mediterranean style of climate combined with fine loamy soil makes Canyonleigh ideal for growing grapes, olives and farming alpacas.
